Anne Mette Hancock‘s award-winning debut novel The Corpse Flower has been longlisted in the 2023 Crime Writers Association Daggers Awards in The Crime Fiction in Translation Dagger category.
The 2023 Daggers shortlist will be announced on 12 May and the winners on 6 July. Eleven Daggers are awarded in total. Seven of these are for books and short stories and are judged independently by industry professionals.
The Dagger for Crime Fiction in Translation is sponsored in honour of Dolores Jakubowski and is for crime novels (defined by the broadest definition to include thrillers, suspense novels and spy fiction) as long as the book was not originally written in English and has been translated into English for UK publication during the judging period.
